Summary:

Dark, highly fossiliferous limestone at top of Hamilton series here named Landes limestone for occurrence along North Mill Creek, 0.2 mi north of Landes, Grant Co. Present in form of good-sized nodules scattered through 1 to 5 ft of brown shale. Contains Hamilton fossils.

Summary:

Unit extended to southern PA as Landes Limestone Member of Mahantango Formation (Hamilton Group). Presence of unit is confirmed near western tip of Chaneysville Siltstone Member and near middle instead of top of Mahantango Formation.
