Summary:

Type locality designated in workings of Klinker Sand and Gravel Co., above West Marginal Way, Seattle, WA. Thickness ranges from 15 ft at type locality to about 80 ft in Abrahamson pit at West Brandon Street and West Marginal Way. Overlies different members of Duwamish formation (new). Possible that Lawton sediments [formation] were deposited during recession of glacier that deposited Klinker till. Is Pleistocene age.
