Summary:

Revised in that Kinderhook divided into, in ascending order, Louisiana limestone (new), Hannibal shales (new), and Chouteau limestone (revised). Divisions of Kinderhook occur in Des Moines and Marshall Cos, IA, Iowa shelf; Marion and Pike Cos, MO, Lincoln anticline; and Pettis, Greene, and Ste. Genevieve Cos, Ozark uplift. Measured at Louisiana and Burlington sections. Underlies Osage group; oldest Mississippian unit discussed.
