Named for Kaneohe village [Kaneohe 7.5' quad] Island of Oahu, HI. Included as unit in lower part of Honolulu volcanic series. Exposed in Kaneohe Valley. Composed of cinder cones (which rise as much as 417 ft above sea level) and flows of olivine-nephelite basalt. 50 ft of basalt is exposed in quarry between hwy and Kamoalii Fork of Kaneohe Stream. Intercalated with conglomerates of terrace graded to Kaena stand of sea. Underlies terrace gravels graded to Waimanalo stand. Assigned middle(?) and late Pleistocene age.

Composed of cinder cones and lava flows of nepheline basalt and melilite-nepheline basalt. Type locality: 2 mi south of Kaneohe along Kamehameha Hwy extending 2 mi north to sea [21 deg 23' 46"N, 157 deg 47' 44"W, Kaneohe 7.5' quad] Island of Oahu, HI. Assigned Pleistocene age.

Kaneohe Volcanics (Stearns, IN Stearns and Vaksvik, 1935) abandoned as formally named unit and renamed Kaneohe flow (and associated cone), informal unit of Honolulu Volcanics.
