Anderson, A.L., 1961, Geology and mineral resources of the Lemhi quadrangle, Lemhi County, Idaho: Idaho Bureau of Mines and Geology Pamphlet, no. 124, 111 p.

Summary:

Named as upper unit of Challis Volcanic Group (rank raised) after Kadletz Creek, Goldstone Mountain quad, Lemhi Co, ID in Idaho Mountains province. No type locality designated. Remains as isolated caps resting unconformably on Cheney and Yearian Volcanics, older formations of the Challis Group. Extends to northwest into Goldstone Mountain quad. Consists chiefly of fine-grained basalt a few hundred ft thick in Lemhi quad, but in adjoining quads has a basal calcic andesite, basalt flows, and upper latite. Flows have vesicular tops and bases and range from reddish to gray to black. Probably early Miocene. Geologic map and cross sections.
