Summary:

Named the Judy Gap Group in WV for Judy Gap, Pendleton Co., WV. Unit includes (ascending) the Oswego Formation of Late Ordovician age (previously called gray Medina), Juniata Formation of Late Ordovician age (red Medina), and Tuscarora Formation of Early Silurian age (white Medina). Overlies Martinsburg Formation and underlies the Clinton Group.
