Summary:

Garnetiferous biotite granite intrusive into metasediments overlying quartzite member of Manchester formation here referred to as Jeff Davis granite. Batholith underlies large part of central and eastern parts of Thomaston quad., Upson Co., northwestern GA. Age is Precambrian.
