Named the Hyde Manor limestone for the summer resort called Hyde Manor, Rutland Co., VT. Consists of blue, massive limestone interbedded with thin slabby strata. Unit exhibits considerable schistosity and is strongly folded. Underlies the Hortonville slate. Brachiopod fauna indicates that the Hyde Manor is of Middle Ordovician (Trentonian) age.
