Summary:

Type locality: exposures near Hu-pwi Wash, T12N R30E, north Gillis Range, Mineral Co, NV. Includes (ascending): Nugent Tuff and Ghost Dance Lava Members, informal intermediate lavas of Poinsettia Spring area probably coeval with Ghost Dance, and Poinsettia Tuff Member. Consists of gray, brown, and black porphyritic, cooling units of rhyodacite tuff and lava, and flow breccia. Is less than 1000 m thick. Overlies Blue Sphinx Tuff or lava of Nugent Wash; underlies lava of Mount Ferguson or tuff of Copper Mountain. Is Miocene age.
