Summary:

Pg. 6 (fig. 2), 7, pl. 2. Hoover conglomerate unit (informal) in Sycamore Canyon member of Puente formation. Cobble-pebble conglomerate bed containing some boulders and a few intercalated sandstone lenses in a red sandy or earthy matrix. Thickness about 750 feet. Overlies Central Fee sandstone unit (new) of Sycamore Canyon member. Age is late Miocene.
Occurs in Whittier-La Habra area, south of Whittier fault, Los Angeles Co., southern CA.
