Name is credited to M.D. Antonetti (1982, Pleistocene geology of the South Trenton 7.5-min quadrangle, NY: Syracuse University Master's Thesis). Described as similar to Norway till though finer in texture and clast size. Along eastern margin is marked by clay-rich facies and end moraines. Extends east of Little Falls and corresponds closely to Fullerton's (1971) Indian Castle Readvance (here abandoned) border southeast of Fairfield. Underlies Rome till and overlies Norway till, both informally named in this report.
