Summary:

Pg. 13, 14. Haymeadow Creek member of Trenton formation. Uppermost member of formation. Overlies Gross Quarry member (new) although actual contact not observed. Underlies Bill's Creek beds and formerly considered basal part of them. Consists of shale that differs from typical Bill's Creek shale in that it is darker and does not weather with light-gray surface. Age is Middle Ordovician.
Derivation of name not stated, but probably named from exposures along Haymeadow Creek, near Rapid River, Delta Co., northern MI.
