Summary:

Conodont biostratigraphy indicates that the Harrell Shale in the Winchester 30 X 60 minute quadrangle is of Late Devonian (early Frasnian) age. Conodonts were recovered from the upper part of the Lower M. FALSIOVALIS Zone to the lower part of the PALMATOLEPIS TRANSITANS Zone.
