Summary:

Named the Hall Stream member of the Gile Mountain formation for Hall Stream, Essex Co., eastern VT. Consists of highly feldspathic grit, probably of volcanic origin and feldspathic chlorite-ankerite schist and amphibolite. Unit is uppermost member of Gile Mountain. The Hall Stream is of Early Devonian age.
