[Named as upper member of Crack Canyon Formation by Lawton (1956, PhD thesis) in Morgan-Wilbur area in Lake, Yolo, and Colusa Cos, CA]. Composed of mudstone with minor arkose. Composite columnar section of northern Great Valley sequence shows unit overlies "Blue Ridge Member" of "Crack Canyon Formation" and underlies "Leesville Member" of "Little Valley Formation" of Lawton (1956). Age given as Early Cretaceous (Valanginian).
