Designated a formal member [listed first on stratigraphic table suggesting it is the youngest member] of the newly named Roosevelt Gabbros, upper unit of the Raggedy Mountain Group, [but described first member in text suggesting that it is the oldest member of the Roosevelt Gabbros]. Intrudes the Land M zone of the Glen Mountains Layered Complex (new). [Relationship to Sandy Creek Member of Roosevelt Gabbros not clear]; shown on stratigraphic table as older than the Sandy Creek. Is a sill-like body of biotite-amphibole-olivine gabbro containing local ultramafic segregation of magnetite, ilmenite, and olivine. Other primary phases include labradorite, augite, and hypersthene with accessory apatite, pleonaste spinel, and sulfide. Mapped (geologic map) with other members of Roosevelt along Glen Creek in the Glen Mountains and on east side of Wichita Mountains, Kiowa and Comanche Cos, OK in the South Oklahoma folded belt province. Recognized in text as present in sec 14, T4N, R17W, Kiowa Co. [Presence elsewhere not stated.] Of Cambrian age.
