Summary:

Named as middle member (of 3) of Hu-pwi Rhyodacite. Type locality: Hidden Wash, 3.2 km east of Ghost Dance Ridge, T11N R30E, Gillis Range, Mineral Co, NV. Present in northern Gillis and Wassuk Ranges only. Consists of brownish-gray and black rhyodacitic flow breccia and lava. Porphyritic flow-banded lava contains layers alternately rich and poor in phenocrysts. Thickness ranges from 1 to 100 m. Overlies Nugent Tuff Member (new); underlies Poinsettia Tuff Member (new) (both of Hu-pwi Rhyodacite). Contacts are low-angle detachment faults. Age is Miocene based on K-Ar age of 23 Ma.
