Summary:

The Flor de Alba Limestone Lentil of the Pozas Formation, here named, is exposed in the southeast quadrant of the Florida quad. Consists of well-bedded to massive, partly fossiliferous, light-gray crystalline limestone. Overlies and underlies beds of calcareous volcanic sandstone, some of which is interbedded with the limestone. Pelecypods, gastropods, and corals are dated as Late Cretaceous (Campanian and Maastrichtian).
