Age is Holocene, 1666 C.E. (Common Era) based on tree-ring dendrochronology (citing Sheppard and others, 2009, Dendrochronologia, v. 27, p. 213-221).
Notable exposures in Prospect Peak 7.5-min quadrangle, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lassen Co., northern CA.
