Summary:

Probably named for Mount Fairview, Custer Co, CO in the Las Vegas-Raton basin. No type locality designated. Occurs as dikes and masses of augite-diorite. The rock is dark, fine-grained, and granular. Cuts Rosita and Bunker andesites. Assigned as Eocene age.
