Summary:

Named as member of Glendora volcanics. Occurs in steep-walled semicircular valley head 500 ft in diameter that penetrates east flank of Elephant Hill, in Spadra area near Pomona, Los Angeles Co, CA. Breccia is composed of angular fragments of laminated gray spherulitic glass in tuffaceous matrix. Blocks range mostly from 1 inch or less across with largest 2 ft long. Underlies Puente formation. Age on map legend given as middle Miocene or older for Glendora volcanics.
