Belt of gneisses characterized by their richness in disseminated magnetite here named Edison gneiss. Extensively mined at old Ogden mines, now called Edison. . [In U.S.G.S. Franklin Furnace Folio, no. 161, 1908, this name was discarded, the rock being an inseparable part of Byram gneiss.]
