Summary:

Pg. 62, 63 (fig. 7). East Buffalo Creek limestone member of Tyler formation. Limestone unit very much like Amsden in lithology; overlain by basal Amsden conglomerate. Age is Carboniferous.
Named from exposures on East Buffalo Creek, in secs. 11 and 12, T. 12 N., R. 16 E., central MT.
