Summary:

Named for a ranch in its type area, the high mesas south of Gardner Canyon, Santa Cruz Co, AZ in the Basin-and-Range province. Consists of alluvial pediment gravel generally 20 m thick. Overlies Gardner Canyon Alloformation (new). Its age is probably 2.5 to 1.0 m.y., or Pliocene and Pleistocene. Correlated with part of the Saint David Formation.
