Unit is named the Dome Ash Bed. Previously referred to informally as Eva ash (Pewe, 1952). Consists of white vitric ash. Thickness is 1 to 10 cm. Is [enclosed] within the Gold Hill Loess. Age is Pleistocene (late Illinoian).
