Dollar Bay Formation is here named and assigned to Big Cypress Group in the subsurface of Collier Co., south FL. Consists of 154 m of limestone, dolomite, and anhydrite in the type well. Under and over unnamed units. Age is Early Cretaceous (Fredericksburgian).

Dollar Bay Formation of Big Cypress Group underlies Panther Camp Formation (new name) of Naples Bay Group and overlies Gordon Pass Formation (new name) of Big Cypress Group.

Unit is up to 620 ft thick and is widespread in the South Florida basin. Dollar Bay may have even greater hydrocarbon potential offshore where structures are larger than onshore. Age is Early Cretaceous (Comanchean).
