Summary:

Pg. 45. Dickeyville Bentonite Bed of Glenhaven Member of Guttenberg Formation. Present in Wisconsin and Illinois. Consists of gray bentonite clay. Thickness 0.05 m at type section; ranges 0.01 to 0.05 m. Overlies and underlies limestone or dolomite units near top of Glenhaven Member. Age is Middle Ordovician.
Type section: Dickeyville Northwest Section, quarry and roadcuts along U.S. Highway 61, 6.5 km northwest of Dickeyville, in NE/4 NE/4 SW/4 sec. 7 and S/2 NW/4 sec. 7, T. 2 N., R. 2 W., Grant Co., south-central WI.
