Summary:

Named as upper member (of 2) of Rowland Formation (new) for Diamond Hill road which crosses Little Muddy Creek at type section of Rowland Formation, NW/4 SW/4 sec.9 T15S R3W, Linn Co, OR. Consists of clayey sand grading upward into clay. Thickness ranges from 0.9 to 2 m. Conformably overlies Linn Member (Rowland Formation). Unconformably underlies Malpass, Wyatt, or Irish Bend member (all new) of Willamette Silt. Age given as late Pleistocene.
