Summary:

Named as the middle member of the Parkman sandstone (rank raised in report area) of Mesaverde group (rank raised in report area). Type well is the Farmers Union #1 Government-Ferguson in SE, SE sec. 13, T 49 N, R 76 W, Campbell Co., WY in the Powder River basin. Member present in type well between 7,015 to 7,210 ft. Described as a very fine grained, clean, quartz, linear-shaped bar sandstone that has abundant shale "streaks". Dolomite makes up 15 percent of the member probably accumulated at the depositional interface during offshore sand deposition. Of littoral marine origin. E-log cross section. Overlies unnamed member of Parkman. Underlies the newly named Ferguson member of Parkman. Of Late Cretaceous age.
