Summary:

Pg. 27. DeKoven formation. Shales with thin sandstones and thin unworkable coals, and, at base, Sebree sandstone, a coarse massive sandstone 10 to 50 feet thick. Thickness 100 to 400 feet. Unconformably overlies Tradewater formation (Pennsylvanian) and unconformably underlies Mulford formation (Pennsylvanian) in Webster County, Kentucky. Age is Pennsylvanian (Allegheny).
Probably named from Dekoven, Union Co., KY.
