Summary:

Pg. 1885. Shown in list as underlying Brophy Canyon formation and overlying Little Valley formation (both new). Comprises Buck Island member above and Baldy Mountain member (both new). The Upper Jurassic and Cretaceous section, about 40,000 feet, consists of sequence of shale and silty shale which alternate with sequence of sandstone. Age is Late Jurassic[?] or Cretaceous[?].
[Type locality not stated.] Occurs in Morgan-Wilbur area in Lake, Yolo, and Colusa Cos., northern CA.
[Misprint in Lawton's dissertation abstract (1956, Dissert. Abs., v. 16, no. 10, p. 1885). Author used term Davis CREEK Formation intsead of Davis CANYON, the name used in thesis manuscript.]

Comprises Baldy Mountain Member below and Buck Island Member above. Overlies Little Valley Formation. Underlies Brophy Canyon Formation. Age is Early Cretaceous (Aptian and Albian).
Type locality not stated. Occurs in Morgan-Wilbur area in Lake, Yolo, and Colusa Cos., northern CA. [According to GNU records (USGS DDS-6; Menlo GNULEX), occurs in Cache Creek-Wilbur Springs area of northern Great Valley sequence, CA. --same place?]
