Rio Orocovis Formation redefined as a Group and Avispa Lava Member redefined as a Formation. A lenticular unit of interbedded volcanic breccia, sandstone, and siltstone that separates lava flows in the lower and upper parts of the Avispa is named the Cuchillas Member.
