[Probably named for Collier Butte, Curry Co, OR]. Shown on sketch map of geologic provinces of southwest OR and northwest CA as pluton intruding Dothan Formation. K-Ar age on hornblende from sample collected at top part of Collier Butte (T37S R12W) yielded isotopic age of 151 +/-12Ma.
