Summary:

Pg. 28, 64, etc. Chispa andesite. One to five flows of brownish gray porous andesite interbedded in the dacite vitrophyre on Chispa Hills. Younger than Milltown andesite and older than Meda rhyolite. Age is Tertiary.
Recognized in Chispa Hills, Goldfield district, [in T. 3 S., R. 43 E., Goldfield 15-min quadrangle, Esmeralda-Nye Co. line, southwestern NV].

Age of the Chispa Andesite is revised from Tertiary to early Miocene based on a radiometric [K-Ar] age of 20.4 +/-0.4 Ma (Ashley and Silberman, 1976).
