Summary:

Chickamuxen Church Formation in Charles and St. Marys Cos., MD, is composed of grayish yellow, orange, and brown silty clay and muddy fine sand, grading downward to pebbly mud or sand. Correlates with Chuckatuck and Charles City Formations (undivided) in VA. Thickness ranges from 35 to 55 ft. Unconformably underlies the Omar Formation and unconformably overlies the Park Hall Formation or older deposits. Age is early to middle Pleistocene. [Nomenclature in this report is the usage of the Maryland Geological Survey.]
