Alcock, F.J., 1946, Preliminary map, Honeydale, New Brunswick; descriptive notes: Canada Geological Survey Paper, 46-3.

Summary:

Probably named for Charlotte Co., New Brunswick, CAN. Extends over much of Honeydale quad. Includes two subdivisions. Dark argillite division consists of dark, argillitic and quartzitic beds locally metamorphosed into slates, schist containing garnet, staurolite, and other secondary minerals, and sedimentary gneiss. Pale argillite division consists of light-colored arkose, with some argillite, slate, and schist. Divisions appear to grade into each other. Age given as pre-Silurian, but Paleozoic. [Author does not state intent to name, but this paper is first use of the name.]
