Summary:

Present in Sacred Heart-Morton area of southwestern MN in Lake Superior region. In Minnesota River Valley is a small, epizonal, gabbroic-granophyric stock which cuts Archean gneisses. Overlies granitic racks of the Archean Sacred Heart batholith. Geologic map and correlation chart. Age of 1750 m.y. suggests genetic relationship to rhyolitic and granitic rocks of Fox River Valley of south-central WI. Is Early Proterozoic in age.
