Summary:

Named as member of Bull formation. Probably named for Castleton River, VT. Consists of intraformational limestone-pebble conglomerate with slate matrix. Thickness not more than 20 ft. Overlies Mudd Pond member (new); occurs near top of formation below West Castleton formation (new). Pebbles carry Early Cambrian ELLIPTOCEPHALA fauna.
