Type section: exposures in Carpenters Creek, tributary of Sekiu River, NW/4 NW/4 sec.17 T32N R13W, Clallam Co, WA. Is third oldest (of 6) member of Makah Formation. Consists of light-yellowish-gray calcified and silicified tuff interbedded with siltstone. Forms seven thin waterlaid tuff beds which are ledge-forming. Is 1 m thick. Separated from underlying Dtokoah Point Member (new) and overlying Klachopis Point Member (new) by unnamed members of Makah Formation. Age is late Eocene (Refugian).
