Named for exposures at Cape Neddick, York Co., southwestern ME. Occurs as a small stock measuring 0.5 mi by 0.75 mi. Shows four phases including a contact phase; a dark, coarse-grained phase; a very dark, almost black, coarse-grained phase; and a light-colored, central phase. Age is Devonian(?).
