Brinkman Sandstone Bed of Hennessey Shale. Light gray, very fine-grained, massive-appearing, friable sandstone. Scattered subround to round quartz and feldspar grains 0.5 to 2.0 mm present near base at many localities. Thickness 5 to 10 feet; is 15.5 feet thick in subsurface. In upper part of Hennessey Shale. Age is Permian.
Type section (also called type locality): southwest of town of Brinkman, in and near NW/4 SW/4 sec. 20, T. 6 N., R. 22 W., Greer Co., OK.
