Summary:

Named as one of five newly named tongues of the Terryville Sandstone (new) of the Cotton Valley Group. Type section is between 8,170 to 8,188 ft in the Ohio Oil Co. Bodcaw Lumber Co. No. 1, SW, SE, sec 28, T21N, R10W, Webster Parish, LA. Cross sections. Is composed of white quartzose blanket sandstone about 50 ft thick. Overlain and underlain by unnamed gray shale of Hico Shale (new) of Cotton Valley Group. Shown as occurring in northern LA in the Arkla basin. Has pinched out south of the AR-LA border. Late Jurassic age.
