Pg. 30. Bluewater formation. Name applied to so-called Moenkopi of previous reports. Recognized in New Mexico and Arizona. Consists largely of red, brown, and purplish shales but includes some beds of sandstone and conglomerate. Thickness about 1,000 feet in Zuni Mountains. Not recognized east of Rio Grande. Age is Permian.
