Summary:

[Name proposed for the lower member of Crack Canyon Formation by Lawton (1956, PhD thesis) in Morgan-Wilbur area of Lake, Yolo, and Colusa Counties, CA]. Is composed of arkose and several conglomerate lenses. Composite columnar section of northern Great Valley sequence shows unit overlies "Knoxville Formation" and underlies "Grizzly Creek Member" of "Crack Canyon Formation" of Lawton (1956). Age is Early Cretaceous (Valanginian).
