Upper part of Waynesville bed of Richmond formation referred to here as Blanchester division of Richmond group. Beds lie between top of upper HERBERTELLA INSCULPTA horizon and base of lower HERBERTELLA INSCULPTA horizon. Overlies Clarksville division and underlies Liberty beds. Age is Late Ordovician.
