Summary:

Pg. 69-99. Bald Mountain limestone. Fine-grained, light bluish gray limestone with many white crystalline spots; arenaceous bands in lower part. Top formation of Beekmantown age in eastern trough at Saratoga Springs, [New York], and vicinity. Fauna distinct from Fort Cassin fauna, and indicates this limestone is older than Normanskill shale and that it overlies Deep Kill shale, but it may come from an entirely different trough or basin that was originally east of Levis trough. Thickness 100 feet. [In chart on p. 140 he shows it unconformably beneath Normanskill shale. Map shows that it occurs on Bald Mountain, Washington County, [New York]. This definition was repeated by Reudemann in 1929 (GSA Bull., v. 40, no. 2, p. 414) and 1930 (New York State Mus. Bull., no. 285, p. 27).]
