Summary:

Unit is named as the upper member (of eight named members) of the Schoonover Formation (new). Is exposed on hilltop (elev. 7904 ft) south of head of Bailey Creek, Bull Run quad, Elko Co., NV. Shown on geologic map of portions of Bull Run and Wildhorse quads. Consists predominantly of limestone, black secondary chert, and calcareous quartzose siltstone. Some bedded (primary) cherts also present. Total thickness is not over 1100 ft. Overlies Frost Creek Member (new) (Schoonover Formation). Underlies unnamed member of formation. Age is Mississippian.
