Summary:

Pg. 13, (table 1), 21, pl. 2. Badito quartzite member of Hopewell series. Consists of bluish-gray qnartzite, unquestionably of sedimentary origin. At mouth of Picuris Canyon, it has been converted to quartz-muscovite schist. Age is Precambrian (Proterozoic).
Notable exposures in Picuris area along north side of Bio Pueblo gorge and in a long strip extending from mouth of Picuris Canyon across south and east spurs of Picuris Peak, Taos and Rio Arriba Cos., central northern NM.
