Summary:

Pg. 54. Armstrong member of Cuyahoga formation. Greenish buff, fine-grained sandstone, 25 to 35 feet thick. Upper part in layers 2 to 6 inches thick; lower 25 feet massive, irregularly bedded, with marked tendency toward lenticular beds. Underlies Black Hand member and overlies Burbank member. Age is Mississippian.
Named from exposure near village of Armstrong, Wayne Co., north-central OH.
