Pg. 12-13, geol. map. Argo Gneiss. Brown, fine- to medium-grained, massive to thin-bedded gneiss. Overlies gneiss of Knife Lake Group in south and Ely Greenstone elsewhere. Age is Precambrian W.
Type locality: exposures in roadcuts 0.8 km west of Argo Cemetery on St. Louis County Highway 21, central Isaac Lake quadrangle, north-central MN.
